Nine architects who have been licensed for 10 or fewer years and have made important contributions to architecture have been named recipients of the AIA's 2010 Young Architects Award. They are: David Burt of LS3P Associates of Charleston, S.C.; Kevin deFreitas, who runs his own firm in San Diego; David Grissino of Goody Clancy in Boston; Christopher Kelley of Gensler's Washington, D.C., office; Brian Malarkey of Kirksey in Houston; Gregory Minott of Elkus Manfredi Architects in Boston; Anthoney Piermarini, a founder of Studio Luz Architects in Boston; Kristine Royal of Newport Collaborative Architects in Providence, R.I.; and Tricia Stuth, a practicing architect and an assistant professor of architecture at the University of Tennessee.
